Micro uses many print processes in the production of promotional products, magnets and print. Here we explore just two methods that are specific to fridge magnets, vehicle grade magnets and some display magnets. All of our magnets are laminated, adding durability and a premium finish to the surface of the print.

Digital printing methods include inkjet or laser printers that deposit pigment or toner onto the paper in CMYK process colours. Digital printing is cost-effective in smaller quantities; small print runs are very economical. This method of print is mainly used on our magnets.
Our digital printed magnets have a standard 5 day lead time, with an express service available for last-minute jobs.
We use a digital inkjet printer with solvent inks (liquid) onto vinyl for our vehicle grade magnets to produce a higher grade of quality suitable for the external environment.
Faster turnaround.
Print CMYK process colours.
More cost-effective for smaller quantities.
Personalisation - text and graphics can be changed on each item with no effect on print speed.
A great feature of digital printing is the ability for personalisation/mass customisation of documents with no impact on the speed or job as a whole.
Elements such as text, graphics and barcodes can be changed from one print to the next using information from a database or external file.
Litho (Lithograph) printing is the traditional process for high volume printing.
An image is printed directly from the plate or is offset by transferring the image onto a flexible sheet (printing and publication).
In our factory, 10k sheets (¼ million credit-card sized magnets), would justify a litho print. Lead times need to be considered in this lengthier process.
Usually more cost-effective than digital for high quantities.
Better print quality.
Print on a large variety of stock.
Print spot (Pantone) colours.
Print large areas of solid colour.
