Share A Pencil Day

17th May 2017 – Let’s Support Education for All Globally #shareapencilday

Hope, a giving enterprise (not an official charity) set up by Everything Environmental’s founder Evan Lewis, has launched a new awareness day in aid of the 75 million children (3-18) that are currently out of school in 35 crisis-affected countries (Plan International UK). "Share a Pencil Day", through the sale of recycled pencils, will support children affected by natural disasters, extreme poverty and conflict to achieve the education they deserve. The day aims to raise awareness of the fact that globally, roughly 250 million children lack basic reading, writing & maths skills (UNESCO), and over 50 percent of Syrian refugee children and adolescents outside Syria are out of school (UNICEF).

Evan’s mission through Hope is to raise vital funds for education & school projects globally. Free lesson plans, short films and classroom notes are available on the Hope website if you wish to participate. Sign up is easy to access all the materials you will need.
