INTRODUCTION

Slimming World is one of the UK’s most recognised and trusted weight-loss organisations, supporting its members with practical tools, motivation, and community-led encouragement. Planning ahead plays a key role in helping members stay on track, and Slimming World is always looking for simple, effective ways to support positive habits.

PROJECT BRIEF

Slimming World approached Micro with an idea for an interactive product designed to encourage forward planning—something their most successful members consistently highlighted as essential to staying focused on their goals.

The brief was to create a practical, everyday item that members could use at home. It needed to be engaging, easy to use, and visually appealing, while supporting routine planning in a clear and straightforward way.

THE RESULTS

Micro developed a bespoke set of five epoxy resin heart-shaped fridge magnets, designed to be durable and easy to interact with. The magnets were supplied attached to a magnetic ferrous sheet, printed on both sides to allow for clear messaging and flexible use.

Each set was presented in an OPP bag and included simple instructions to help members use the magnets as part of their weekly planning routine. The epoxy resin finish gave the magnets a premium feel, while the heart shape reflected Slimming World’s supportive and encouraging brand values.

The finished product provided a practical planning tool that members could use every day—keeping goals visible and front of mind on the fridge, where planning decisions often start.

THE OUTCOME

This project shows how a simple, well-considered product can support positive routines in a natural way. By turning planning into something visual and interactive, the magnets helped Slimming World reinforce habits that fit easily into everyday life.
